Title: The Giver

Author: Lois Lowry
Genre: Science Fiction

The Giver is a great book about a boy named Jonas who lives in a utopian society. Jonas is worried when he is skipped in the ceremony of twelve, and is chosen last as the receiver. As the receiver Jonas must receive his memories from The Giver. This book is great, and I recommend it to anyone who loves science fiction.

My favorite part of The Giver is when he gives away the memory of the elephant to baby Gabriel.

Favorite quote from the book:
“Sobbing, he turned and vomited on the frozen snow. Blood dripped from his face into the vomit. Nooooo! he cried, and the sound disappeared into the empty landscape, into the wind.”

Recommendation:
I would recommend this book if you like Sci-Fi. This book just pulls you in the more you read and the plot takes a drastic turn.
